Leaders Connect Introduction

Leaders Connect is a new social network and idea sharing forum designed to help replicate the networking experience of the in-person Straight Talk meeting.  We will be rolling out access to this platform to kick off the Straight Talk Series.

Prior to forming The Leaders Group in 1994, Dave began his financial services career in 1979 and has been active in the industry, working to bring life insurance and securities distribution closer together.

Dave also serves as CEO of TLG Advisors, Inc., an SEC Registered Investment Advisor that provides investment management and financial planning services for individuals, corporations and retirement plans. Dave founded The Leaders Group with the focus of helping to distribute Variable Life through BGAs, a model that has thrived.  He previously served on the board of Capitas Financial and is a founder of The Life Insurance Center, a Colorado based application fulfillment center built for BGAs.

Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in Zoology  from the University of Northern Colorado, where he played and coached football. Dave is married to his best friend since 1976, and they have one son.  In his spare time, Dave enjoys reading, mountain biking, wine, and fly-fishing.

Sean Wickersham has been with the Leaders Group since 2008 and has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry.  Since 2013, Sean has been heading the marketing department, helping steer the direction of the team and has had an active role in the development of the various communications, the formulation and rollout of Starlight Portfolios and the creation of the LEADERSlink system.  He has also helped with the re-branding and market awareness efforts. As the President & CMO, Sean’s primary responsibilities include corporate management oversight and planning, and development and execution of marketing initiatives.

Out of the office Sean enjoys languages, with a strong level of proficiency in Spanish, skiing, international travel and spending time with his wife Kathleen, daughter Sloane, and their dog.
